Sponsor an operation
Help a cleft child by sponsoring his or her first operation. There are three categories of operations:
- A lip closure costs 300 Swiss Francs/200 euros
- 600 Swiss Francs/400 euros is the price of an initial operative incision in a medium severe case
- 1200 Swiss Francs/900 euros is the price of an operation in a complex case of facial disfigurement
When you sponsor an operation you will be sent a report on the operation as well as reports on follow-up care for the child you are currently sponsoring. Upon request you can also be sent follow-up reports from other children you have previously sponsored. This allows you to relate to the cleft children on a personal level. It also allows you to understand first hand what the different disabilities are as well as how they are treated.
