2000-2001

• Cleft Children International founded.
• Prof. Sailer operates on 13-year old cleft boy Ranga in Switzerland.
• The first cleft centres established in Mangalore/India.
• The first cleft centres established in Hyderabad/India.
• He first cleft children are operated on locally in India.

2002-2003

• The first cleft centre established in Chennai/India.
• Knowledge transfer to Africa: Surgeons from Cameroon are trained by Dr. Rao in India.
• Renowned oral-facial surgeons from Germany assist in operations in India.
• Sonia Gandji, President of the Congress Party in India gives Prof. Sailer her complete support.

2004

• The first cleft centre is established in Mumbai/India. It is named after St. Peter Ustinov who has supported us right from the beginning.
• 28.03.2004: Great sadness as our friend and sponsor Sir Peter Ustinov passes away. His son, Igor Ustinov, is appointed to the Board of Trustees.
• Knowledge transfer to Eastern Europe: Dr. Parachivescu from Romania is trained by Dr. Reddy in India.

2005-2006

• Cleft-Kinder-Hilfe, Professor Hermann Sailer Stiftung Gmbh is established in Hanover, Germany.
• Attended by a hundred doctors, Professor Sailer gives a surgical skills course in India.
• Professor Sailer's organisation has as of now accomplished over 7,800 surgeries.
• The first cleft centre established in Romania (Timisoara) headed by Prof. Urtila.
• Opening of a representative office in Italy.
